Jeffrey S. Gilbert

After graduating from Emory Law, Mr. Gilbert began his law career as an insurance defense lawyer, primarily defending Travelers Insurance Companies, where he tried approximately 8-10 jury trials a year. He then took his trial experience to the plaintiff's side, working for a small general practice in personal injury and workers' compensation. Soon thereafter, he established his own firm as a specialized sole practitioner and has been representing catastrophic Plaintiffs and Claimants ever since.

Jeffrey S. Gilbert treats each case, each affected individual, and each client and family with the utmost respect, often developing lifelong friendships along the way. He is known as a bulldog or as the fixer to his clients. He is an avid motorcycle racer and expert skier, bringing passion, focus, drive, and competitiveness required for those activities to his practice. In addition to being a dedicated lawyer, Mr. Gilbert draws on his life experience and professional background to serve his community by helping people become the best they can be, even in the face of tragedy.

In addition to devoting his time and effort to advocating for the legal rights of a wide variety of injured persons, especially sufferers of catastrophic injuries suffered in auto accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, and a limited number of devastating workers' compensation cases. Jeffrey S. Gilbert founded Alpine Adaptive Ski Program — a 501 (c) (3) charity that helped physically challenged individuals rediscover a new life through the joy of skiing (or regain a life they thought lost) with modified equipment and specialized training. Though the charity became inactive during COVID, Jeff hopes to reactivate this incredibly uplifting endeavor in the future.

His hands-on work through AASPGA.ORG is proof of attorney Gilbert’s deep empathy for people who experience catastrophic injury and profound, life-changing disability. He maintains an enduring respect for the courage of the injured clients he represents throughout Georgia — people who wake up every day to the harsh reality of severe physical limitations. Mr. Gilbert’s goal of restoring people’s quality of life is a cornerstone of his law practice.

For the past 20 years, Jeff has served on the advisory Board and is currently Director of Business Affairs for Adopt a Golden Atlanta. This organization helps find loving, caring homes for Golden Retrievers to prevent more strays and Goldens from ending up in shelters.

An Avid Motorcyclist and holds an active Expert Racing license with the Western Eastern Racing Association (“WERA”). He currently races a Honda CBR 600RR. He started riding at 10 years old. He carries his passion, knowledge, and experience with Motorcycles to his practice.
